My Top 10 Teen Movies

If you are having troubles with finding a good teenage movie to watch in evening, click on this post and see my list . Maybe it'll help you with selection.

Here's the list:

10. A Walk To Remember

Usually, I don't like romantic movies, but this movie brings me to tears every time I watch it. The story is about boy who gets involved with girl who is labelled an ousider and geek. Later, they fall in love but then she discovers to him that she suffers from something serious.

Heartbreaking but worth watching...

9.  Easy A

This 2005 movie follows the aftermath of the high school rumor when main character Olive lies about losing her virginity to a college student and later lying about being with other guys to help their reputation, while her suffers. The plot is very funny and Emma Stone is great in this role.

8. Heathers

Heathers is black comedy about beautiful teenage girl Veronica Sawyer who falls in love with dangerous J.D. When Heather Chandler , leader of the group kicks her out of the group, she decides to take the revenge. This movie is great for ones who loves dark sarcasm and comedy.

7. Back To Future

My favourite movie when I was a kid. It's story about 15 years old teenager Marty McFly who, by mistake, arrives in 1955. - the time when his parents were teenagers. I don't prefer SF movies but combinated with comedy and adventure is something that I enjoy to watch.

6. Grease

Well known musical comedy released in 1970's tells the story about two lovers in 1950's high school. Movie was well received and is one of the most popular movies ever, especially for its soundtrack.

It is for nostalgic people who wish they were born in 1950's.

5. Rebel Without a Cause

Rebel Without a Cause is a cult movie. In 1990, it was added to Library of Congress's National Film Registry as being deemed ''culturally, historically and aesthetically significant'' .This is the most famous James Dean role.

4. 10 Reasons I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You is a modernization of William Shakespeare's late-16th century comedy The Taming of the Shrew, retold in a late 1990's American high school setting. Great movie with great actors. It had a critical and comercial success.

3. Mean Girls

Every girl born in late 90's probably watched this movie. It's based on Rosalind Wiseman's non-fiction book about dangers of teenage school cliques for teenage girls. Tha main character is sixteen-year old Cady Heron who returns after her parents twelve year research trip in Africa and tries to make friends in new school. Soon she discovers that the situation isn't as it looks like.

Definately one hilarious movie that I have no hesitation in recommending it. You're gonna laugh a lot and remember that high school  b**** who just had to control everything.

2. Ferris Bueller's Day Off

This movie reminds us that underpinning the craziness is a sense of the bittersweet quickness of
teenage life which days should be captured forever.

Another 80's comedy movie written and produced by John Hughes intended for people who, like Ferris, prefer to skip school and spend the day looking for an adventure.

1. The Breakfast Club

They were five total strangers with nothing in common, meeting for the first time. A brain, a beauty, a jock, a rebel and a recluse."

The Breakfast Club is one of  the most memorable and recognizable John Hughes movies. Its storyline follows five teenagers from different high school clique who spent a Saturday in detention together and it changed their life forever. They discover there's more to being young than living up to the role with which you've been labelled.

This is not only my favourite teen movie, it's also one of my favourite movies ever. It has a great storyline and message at the end which sums up everything. I enjoy watching it over and over again. Being teenager isn't easy as people usually think and John Hughes understood it well.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

The Fault in Our Stars

EuroTrip

 Sixteen Candles

Gossip Girl

Enjoy!
